GENETIC TESTING

We know the process of finding medication that works can be frustrating, time-consuming and debilitating.

Fewer than 50% of individuals with depression respond to their first medication.

PHARMACOGENETIC TESTING is a simple non-invasive saliva test that shows your provider how your genes may affect medication outcomes. The PHARMACOGENETIC TEST may reveal which medications to treat depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other mental health conditions require dose adjustments, be less likely to work, or have an increased risk of side effects based on your DNA.

The test is a simple cheek swab taken in our office or by yourself conveniently from the comfort of your home. The swab is then mailed directly to the company to analyze. Once our provider receives the test results, we will schedule an appointment to go over the details of your test and determine the next steps in which medicament to add and/or remove based on how it impacts your body.

This new information will assist the provider is finding the right medication for you quicker and hence reduce any potential adverse effects from the medications.
