This Privacy Policy describes how Lighthouse Psychiatry (and its research partner, NeoSci Clinical Research) ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects the personal information of individuals who express interest in participating in our clinical research studies. This policy applies specifically to the collection of information used by the Lighthouse Psychiatry to contact potential research participants and assess their preliminary eligibility. This policy is separate from, and does not supersede, Lighthouse Psychiatry's HIPAA policies and procedures regarding protected health information (PHI).

  • Basic Demographic Information: Age, gender (if provided). This is collected to help assess general eligibility for research studies.
  • Clinical Information: Information relevant to determining preliminary eligibility for specific research studies (e.g., diagnosis, current medications). This information will only be collected if volunteered by the individual and only to the extent necessary to determine preliminary eligibility. We will not collect PHI as defined by HIPAA.

  • Contact You: To invite you to learn more about relevant research studies and determine if you meet the initial screening criteria.
  • Assess Eligibility: To assess your preliminary eligibility for participation in a clinical research study based on the information you provide.
  • Improve Our Research: To analyze aggregate, anonymized data to improve the design and conduct of our research studies.

We will not share your personal information with any third parties except:
  • As Required by Law: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or legal process.
  • With Your Consent: We may share information with other researchers or collaborators with your explicit consent.
  • Within Lighthouse Psychiatry: Information may be shared internally within study partners and sites for research study management purposes. Access is limited to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.

These measures include an SSL certificate, ensuring that data transmitted between the user's browser and the server is encrypted.To safeguard against spam and automated abuse, Web Forms include built-in spam filters and support for CAPTCHA verification. Karen’s experience spans across various settings, from private practice to hospital environments, where she has provided tailored treatment plans, conducted comprehensive assessments, and supported clients dealing with anxiety, mood disorders, and life transitions. Her approach is rooted in understanding each client’s unique needs, empowering them to achieve their goals through evidence-based strategies and compassionate guidance.

Tristan is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Arizona State University and has an extensive background in mental health. Tristan has worked closely with innovative alternative treatments, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Transcranial Photobiomodulation (Red Light Therapy), to support individuals in their mental health journey. Tristan is passionate about helping clients navigate life’s challenges by providing a safe and supportive environment. He integrates evidence-based practices with individualized treatment plans, striving to empower clients to overcome obstacles and achieve personal growth.


In his spare time, Tristan enjoys watching sports such as football and baseball, exercising at the gym, playing video games, and spending time with family.
